Perimenopause is the transition. Menopause is one day. Your experience is much bigger than either definition.

01

Perimenopause

The years leading up to menopause, when hormones fluctuate and symptoms can begin long before periods stop. For many women, this starts in their late 30s or 40s.

02

Menopause

Reached after 12 consecutive months without a period. The years after are post-menopause, when long-term strength, bones, heart health, and quality of life matter deeply.

Brain fog.

Wired and tired.

Rage out of nowhere.

A body that feels unfamiliar.

Real experiences deserve real support.

I knew health. Perimenopause still blindsided me.

In my late 30s, anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, weight gain, overheating, and a deep sense of dread appeared out of nowhere. Tests came back normal, but I did not feel normal.

When my cycle began changing and I learned my mum had experienced early menopause at 44, the pieces finally connected. As a nutritionist, fitness professional, and former athlete, I realised my old strategies were no longer supporting my changing body.

I refocused on protein, plants, strength training, sleep, and breathwork. Slowly, the joy returned. What The Menopause?! grew from that experience - a place for women to learn, laugh, feel seen, and know they are not going through this alone.

I want women to understand their bodies and feel powerful in them again.
